Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Seasoning

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasonings
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

Pizza Dough and Topping

  • 16 oz pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh basil

Alfredo Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ tsp minced garlic
  • 2 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup milk
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Season and Cook Chicken: In a bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasonings, kosher salt, and black pepper. Coat the chicken breasts evenly with the spice mixture. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken breasts about 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked. Remove from heat and dice into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Prepare Pizza Dough Bowls: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly oil 12 small oven-safe bowls with olive oil. Divide pizza dough into 12 equal portions. Press each portion into the prepared bowls, pushing dough up the sides to create a bowl shape. Brush dough with 2 tablespoons olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, kosher salt, and garlic powder.
  3. Bake Dough Bowls: Place dough bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  4. Make Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Whisk in softened cream cheese and milk until smooth. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cook until sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Combine and Fill Bowls: Add diced cooked chicken to the Alfredo sauce, stirring to combine. Fill each baked dough bowl with the chicken Alfredo mixture. Top each with shredded mozzarella cheese and chopped fresh basil.
  6. Bake Final Assembly: Return filled bowls to the oven and bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for an additional 8-10 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
  7. Serve: Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your chicken Alfredo pizza bowls warm straight from the bowl!

Notes

  • Use store-bought pizza dough for a quicker preparation or homemade dough for fresher taste.
  • Substitute chicken breasts with cooked rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Adjust milk quantity in Alfredo sauce to reach desired sauce consistency.
  • Fresh basil can be replaced with dried Italian herbs if unavailable.
  • These bowls are perfect for game day or parties as a fun and portable serving option.
